Why we don't publish a rate sheet

Freight isn't a commodity. We don't price it like one.

A public rate sheet forces every shipment into the worst-case number. Quoting individually lets us match your actual lane and equipment, with an all-in price you can plan against.

Your lane, not a list

Equipment size, weight, accessorials, free-time, port congestion, and timing all move the price. We quote on YOUR specifics, not a worst-case bucket.

All-in pricing

Base drayage, chassis, pre-pull, overweight, port fees, and special-equipment surcharges are itemized up front. No surprise invoices after delivery.

Fast turnaround

Most quotes back in under 10 minutes during business hours — fast enough to use mid-negotiation with your buyer or supplier.

Built on relationships

Volume, recurring lanes, and partner status all earn better pricing over time. A public rate sheet erases that. A conversation preserves it.

The Process

From inquiry to quote in three steps

01

Send us the lane

Origin port (or airport), destination ZIP, container size or pallet count, weight, ETA window. Anything you have, we can work with.

02

We price it

We pull live drayage and trucker rates, layer in our standard accessorials, and write you a clean itemized quote with all-in pricing.

03

You confirm or counter

Accept and we book. Want to negotiate or compare scenarios (40HQ vs 2×20GP, drop vs live, etc.)? Reply to the same thread, we'll re-quote same day.

All-in pricing

What's in every Mintrans quote

Itemized up front

  • Drayage base + handling
  • Chassis (per day) — or triaxle for overweight
  • Pre-pull (only if needed)
  • Chassis split (rail-ramp origins)
  • Overweight surcharge (where applicable)
  • Port fees (TMF / CTF for LA/LB, gate fees, port fees)

  • Customs broker coordination

Never on your invoice after the fact

  • Surprise "fuel adjustments"
  • Last-minute accessorial pop-ups
  • Validity-window expiry games
  • "Subject to" caveats that void the quote
  • Hidden margin on documentation or paperwork
  • Brokerage % markups on customs
FAQ

Common quote questions

How fast will I get a quote back?

Most quotes are returned within 10 minutes during U.S. business hours, often faster. Complex multi-leg shipments or special equipment may take a few hours; we'll tell you up front if that's the case so you can plan.

Why don't you publish a rate sheet on the website?

Every shipment is different — container size, weight, free-time, accessorials, port congestion, and timing all move the price by hundreds or thousands of dollars. A public rate sheet would force everyone into the worst-case number. Quoting each shipment individually lets us match your actual lane and give you a fair all-in price.

What information do you need from me to quote?

At minimum: origin port (or airport), destination address or ZIP, container size or pallet/weight, and ETA window. The more detail (special equipment, hazmat, free-time needed, delivery appointment requirements) the more accurate the first quote.

How long is a quote valid?

Quotes typically hold for the ETA window we discussed. If your ETA shifts or market conditions change materially (peak season, fuel surge, port congestion), we'll re-quote — we never let a stale quote turn into a surprise invoice.

Do you handle one-off shipments, or only recurring contracts?

Both. We quote one-off shipments the same way we quote recurring lanes. Volume and recurring partnerships earn better pricing over time — but you can start with one container and build from there.

Can you match a target rate?

Often, yes — especially on lanes we already run. Send your target in the inquiry and we'll either match, counter with the closest we can do, or tell you straight up that the lane won't bear that price (and why).
